Another butcher shop is to be started in this village soon, by a resident of Pine Grove, Brown County, whose name we learn is John Bieblehouse.

Schenk Services Scheduled Monday

    Funeral services for Mrs. Charlotte SCHENK, 73, a pioneer resident of Shawano, will be held Monday, January 29 at 9:30 a.m. Rites will be at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Bernard M. Geimer officiating.
    Mrs. Schenk died at 2 p.m. Friday of a heart ailment. She had suffered from a lingering illness.
    She was born September 26, 1878 at Shawano as Henrietta Bibelhausen. Her parents were Mr. and Mrs. John Bibelhausen.
    She lived in Shawano her entire life and attended local schools. On Oct. 22, 1913 she was married at Sacred Heart church by Father L. C. Becker to Charles SCHENK. Mr. Schenk died in 1921.
    A member of Sacred Heart Church, she was very active in church affairs when she was young.
    Surviving are one daughter, Florence, and one son Marvin both at home, 616 South Evergreen St., Shawano. Another child, Isabel, died when she was one year old.
    Also surviving are five sisters, (Margaret) Mrs. Joe Schafberger; (Elizabeth) Mrs. John Schafberger; (Josephine) Mrs. Henry Perry; (Kathryn) Mrs. Earnest Feltz; and (Mary) Mrs. Ray Berry, all of Shawano. One brother and one sister preceded her in death.
    Friends may call at the Schweers Funeral Home from Saturday noon until the time of services. The Rosary will be said Sunday evening at 8 o’clock.
    Interment will be at the Sacred Heart cemetery, Shawano

Mrs. Ernest (Catherine) FELTZ, 78, 1014 W. Brewster, Appleton, formerly of Shawano and Cecil, died Sunday evening, March 31, at Appleton. She had been seriously ill since Jan. 4 of this year. The former Catherine Bibelhausen, daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. John Bibelhausen, was born Nov. 9, 1889 in Shawano, She lived in this Community all of her life up until Nov. when she went to make her home with her daughters. Her marriage to Ernest FELTZ took place Feb. 3, 1909 at Shawano. He died Sept. 9, 1961. She was a member of Sacred Heart church. Survivors are 2 daughters, Esther, Mrs. Elwood Miller, Appleton, and Inez, Mrs. Kenneth Mosher, North Beach, Shawano. Also 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and 1 sister, Mary, Mrs. Ray Beery, Shawano. Five sisters and 2 brothers preceded her in death. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 9 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic church, Shawano and interment will be in the Sacred Heart cemetery.

Ernest Felts, 80, of 921 E. Maurer St., Shawano, died on Saturday morning. He had been ailing for the past 4 weeks, Mr. Felts was born on Nov. 10, 1860 at Reedsville, He came to Shawano when he was 18 years old and has lived here since that time. On Feb. 3, 1909 he was married to Catherine Bibelhausen who survives. Mr. Felts, who was retired, was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic church and the Holy Name Society. Besides his wife he leaves 2 daughters, Esther, Mrs. Elwood Miller, Appleton and Inez, Mrs. Kenneth Mosher, Cecil. Also 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. One sister preceded him in death. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday morning at 9:30 at the Sacred Heart Catholic church and interment will be in the Sacred Heart cemetery.

Mrs. Schafberger, Tn. Wescott, Dies Thursday Evening

Mrs. Joseph Schafberger, 80, Route 2, Shawano, died at Shawano on Thursday evening. She had been ailing for the past year.

The former Margaret Bibelhausen was born Jan. 6, 1882 in Shawano. Her parents moved to the town of Wescott when she was a child where she lived most all of her life. She was married June 7, 1910 to Joseph Schafberger. He died June 19, 1942. Mrs. Schafberger was a member of the Sacred Heart Church.

One son, Clarence, at home, and one daughter, Irene, Mrs. Harry Carter, town of Wescott, survive. She also leaves three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mary, Mrs. Ray Berry, Town of Wescott and Mrs. Katherine Feltz, Cecil. One son, four sisters and one brother preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday morning, November 19, at 9: 30 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rev. Joseph Schaefer will officiate and interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call at the Born Funeral Home after 2 o’clock Sunday until the time of service on Monday. The Rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 8 o’clock Sunday evening.

Mrs. Henry
(Josephine Bibelhausen) Perry, 64, died Sunday morning after a lingering illness. She was born Aug. 21, 1887, to Mr. & Mrs. John Bibelhausen. She lived in and around Shawano all of her life. In 1910 she married Henry Perry and they lived in Belle Plaine until 1926. They moved to Shawano and later to Shawano Lake South Shore where they have lived the past 13 years. She is survived by her husband Henry, daughter Aurelia (Mrs. Rueben Pludeman), 2 sons, Sylvester, of Gresham, Rt. 1, and Clifford of Clintonville, Rt 2, sisters, Margaret (Mrs. Joe Schafberger), Elizabeth (Mrs. John Schafberger), Catherine (Mrs. Ernest Feltz) and Mary (Mrs. Ray Beery). Two sisters and 1 brother preceded her in death. She also has 6 grandchildren. Funeral services will be on Wednesday morning at 10:00 at the Catholic church at Cecil and burial will be in the Sacred Heart cemetery.

Mrs. Anna KREITZER, 73 years old, died suddenly last night while attending services at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She had not been in the best of health for some time. Mrs. Kreitzer was born Anna Bibelhausen on March 12, 1875 in Shawano. She was a daughter of Mr. & Mrs. John Bibelhausen. She attended Catholic school and was married in August 1898 to Ignatius KREITZER, who died some years ago. Survivors include 2 sons, Anthony and Frank of Shawano, and 2 grandchildren. A daughter died in infancy. Other survivors are 6 sisters, Etta, Mrs. Schenk; Maggie, Mrs. Jos. Schafberger; Elizabeth, Mrs. John Schafberger; Josephine, Mrs. Henry Perry, Mary, Mrs. Ray Beery, and Kathryn, Mrs. Ernest Felts, all of Shawano. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 18, at 9:OO at Shawano Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will take place in Sacred Heart cemetery.
